What’s The Medicare Open Enrollment Period?

Each year, the Medicare cost plans, Medicare coverage, and doctors and pharmacies included in Medicare health plans are subject to change. All Original Medicare beneficiaries may adjust their Medicare supplement insurance and prescription drug coverage (Medigap coverage) for the upcoming year to better suit their needs from October 15 to December 7.

What we do

Senior Healthcare Advisors professionally assist Medicare recipients with the full ability to make informed decisions as to their options for healthcare. We specialize in Medicare Advantage Insurance. All Agents are licensed; certified and contracted with  Major Healthcare Companies, such as Humana, United Healthcare, Aetna, Anthem, Blue Cross, and Wellcare. We provide our customers with the best possible benefits.

Senior Healthcare Advisors’ main goal is to assist recipients with a full understanding of their healthcare coverage. You may get Parts A and B when you turn 65 or become eligible because of a disability. Part A covers inpatient hospitalization, rehabilitation, and long-term hospital services. You can delay Medicare Part B enrollment at that time if you have insurance through an employer.

Medicare Advantage or Medicare Part C, which includes:

  • (HMOs) Health Maintenance Organizations Medicare

  • (PPOs) Preferred Provider Organizations

  • Special Needs Plan

We ask you three questions that tells us if we can help you within the first 3 minutes of speaking with us.

If you have a qualified enrollment period, next, we verify that the benefits you need are available in your zip code.

We go over the entire plan benefits from top to bottom with you for you to decide.

We verify your current doctors are in network with the plan with the benefits you need. If you are on the market for new doctors, we help you find them.

We verify if all your prescription medications are covered.

We verify the information on your Medicare enrollment application, recite required Medicare enrollment disclaimers, and submit your enrollment to Medicare.

Who Can Join Medicare Advantage Plan?

Generally, you can enroll in one of the following Medicare Advantage Plans:

  • Turning 65 (3 months prior and 3 months after your 65th birthday)
  • Disabled and have been on disability for 2 years or more.

If each of these is true:

  • You reside inside the desired plan’s service area. You may learn more about the plan’s coverage area from the plan. Ask if the Plan will cover you if you spend a portion of the year living in another state.
  • Medicare Parts A and B are available to you.
